Spencer describes the allegorical presentation of virtues through Arthurian knights in the mythical Faerieland.

Hello everyone,
Actually I’m working hard on another book project named ROUSALKA with my talented friend Damien Vaillant as a writer, and with the (not so) secret hope it will meet the interest of an editor, why not in the US or somewhere out of France (my country).
It’s an illustrated book of Slavic and Romantic Fairytales, introducing some of the most famous Faeries of the Polish and Lithuanian legends. These are stories of passion and nostalgia, which are the roots of what I’d call the “Slavic Spirit”.
ROUSALKA was designed in the old tradition of the wonderful fairytales illustrators masters like Arthur Rackham, Ivan Bilibine, Kay Nielsen…
Here is the next one, my polish "Husarz".
Thanks for your attention everybody.

Let me introduce you to the two main characters of a Children Book of mine entitled "The Little Girl and The Rat".
When I made this character design, I wanted this image to be also an introduction to the story.
I also wanted the type design to represent a way to follow the little girl in her adventures (like breadcrumbs in the French story “The little Poucet”, for who knows ).
In English the translation of the text would be: “My little Rat slept like a log, so I got into his dream…”
The story of the book set in the dreamlike World of the two main characters.
During the travel, landscapes and inhabitants seem to be not as strange and frightening as expected...
A tale about the difference and the fear of grow up.

Last week came out a collective Children Book (for the 3-5 years old) published by Fleurus Editions, in which I illustrated a tale.
I'ts a story about a little girl who will learn that there is a difference between dreaming to be a Princess, and to become one.
A sweetie adventure for the little ones, talking about identity and rise to an ideal.

This image is a split page.
There will be a fair at school next week. And as all other children have to do, "Agnès" had to choose her disguise.
For her, it's straight away found : she will be a Princess.
Every night before this so expected opportunity, she starts to dream.
She's set on a magnificent throne, in the shade of a gorgeous rose tree, with a lovely dress, a beautiful tiara on her head, and an impressive train around her little feet...
